Guidelines
Excellence starts with US!
1) Every Trinity Sports Event will start with prayer. This prayer will be lead by the Head Referee or organizer for each event. If a Head Referee does not feel comfortable praying with the participants then a league administrator, church staff member, or church member may lead prayer instead.
2) Each league or event will have an administrator appointed to run the league or event. This person will be the primary decision maker for the league or event and will execute their commission to the best of their ability. The recreation committee may decide to change the commission or appointment by majority at any time.
3) A league administrator or event organizer, approved by the Recreation Committee or a Recreation Committee member must be present at every Recreation Committee sponsored event.
4) No funds from registration fees for any event will be paid to Trinity Recreation Committee members, Trinity Staff Members. No funds from registration fees may be entered into the Church’s general funding. Funds from registrations must be used only by Trinity Recreation Committee.
5) When a game as part of an event or league is in progress, the head referee has sole authority to manage the game according to the game rules. Nobody is allowed to interfere with that authority while the game is in progress. A Trinity Staff member, Deacon, Recreation Committee Member, or league administrator may force an Administrative Suspension of the game for reasons like weather, failure to follow church and facility rules, or unsafe situations. When an Administrative Suspension is enforced the Head Referee will follow the protocols in the Gameplay rules. All Administrative Suspensions enforced with reason other than weather will be subject to review by the Recreation Committee.
6) League administrators and referees are required to put the participant’s and spectator’s safety above all else. If a participant’s safety has or will be compromised the referee will remedy that as prescribed in the gameplay rules. If a spectator’s safety has or will be compromised then a league administrator, church staff member, or deacon may remedy the situation according to church rules and protocols.
7) Recreation Committee claims authority and responsibility over facilities exclusively for Recreation Committee purposes and facilities in use by Recreation Committee at any given time. Recreation Committee is bound to follow Trinity Baptist Church rules for facilities use, unless exemption granted, and may craft rules of it’s own to further it’s values and goals.
8) In the event a participant or spectator is removed or asked to remove themselves from an event, Recreation Committee will be notified and the situation reviewed by the Recreation Committee.
9) Sponsorships and referee payments are not authorized unless the Recreation Committee has approved the sponsorship or referee payments in the league manager’s commission.
10) League or Recreation events may not be scheduled during the Wednesday evening or Sunday Morning services.
